Questions & Answers

Frequently asked questions

Everything clients and event workers usually want to know before working with us. Still stuck? Email cghstaffingandsolutions@gmail.com or call 610-220-1769.

For clients booking staff

+How far in advance should we book staff?

Two to three weeks gives us the best pick of crew, but we regularly fill events with a few days' notice. If you're in a bind, call 610-220-1769 — last-minute coverage is one of the things we do best.

+How does pricing work?

We quote a flat fee for the event based on crew size and hours, so there are no surprise line items. One contact, one invoice, one number you can budget against.

+What kinds of events do you staff?

Anything that needs people. Sports tournaments are our specialty, but we also staff festivals and fairs, school and university events, corporate events, concerts, fundraisers, trade shows and venue work. If your event needs reliable hands, ask us.

+Where do you work?

We're based in Greater Philadelphia and send crews anywhere within about 50 miles — that covers the city, the Pennsylvania suburbs, South Jersey and northern Delaware. Bigger events farther out? Ask us.

+What roles can your staff cover?

Setup and teardown, registration and check-in, guest services, ushers and attendants, ticketing, concessions, scorekeeping and court monitoring, cleanup, and general event support.

+What if a worker doesn't show up?

Every event is scheduled with standby workers behind it. If someone falls through, we replace them — that's our responsibility, not yours.

+Do you require a deposit?

For larger events we ask for a deposit to hold the crew, with the balance invoiced after the event. Cancellation terms are spelled out in the written agreement before the date.

+Are your workers insured and screened?

Yes. We carry insurance, use written agreements, and screen every worker before they're placed on an event.

+Is there a minimum booking size?

No hard minimum — we staff everything from a couple of helpers to large crews. Very small or very short bookings may carry a minimum charge, which we'll show on your quote.

+What if our event runs over the scheduled hours?

Our crew stays as long as you need them where possible. Extra time beyond the quoted hours is billed at the rate stated in your quote, and your on-site lead will check with you before going over.

+What happens if bad weather cancels the event?

Tell us as soon as you know. We'll work with you to reschedule. If workers are already on their way or on site, charges may apply as listed in your quote — see our Cancellation, Deposits & Refunds page.

+When is payment due?

Any deposit is due to hold your date, and the balance is due by the date on your invoice. You can view and pay invoices online in your client portal.

+Can we change headcount or hours after booking?

Yes. Message us through your client portal or email as early as you can. We'll confirm any change and any price difference in writing before it applies.

+How do we request a crew?

Fill out the quote form on the home page or email cghstaffingandsolutions@gmail.com. We'll come back with a flat-fee quote and a plan for the day.

For event workers

+How do I start working events with CGH?

Apply on the Apply to Work page with your roles, availability and contact details. Once you're approved you can create an account and see open shifts.

+Is there a fee to join?

There's a $20.95 yearly membership fee that keeps your worker account active so you can claim shifts. It renews automatically each year.

+How do I get shifts?

Open shifts show up in your worker portal. Claim the ones that fit — first come, first served — and we'll also offer you shifts directly when you're a good fit.

+What if my availability changes?

Update your calendar in the portal any time. You can set a usual week, mark specific days off, and block individual hours you can't work.

+How and when do I get paid?

Pay is set per event and listed on each shift. We pay out after the event once hours are confirmed.
